Welcome! The City of Union City Water Department is pleased to provide you with water, sewer, trash and storm water service for your home or business. Please read the following guidelines for establishing a new service.

 
New customers will be charged a deposit of $150.00, $250.00 or $350.00 (prices vary depending upon soft credit check) and a service fee of $15 which is non-refundable. We accept a cashier's check, money order, or cash ONLY for deposits. If water is off, please submit your application before 12:00 p.m. for same day connection. If water is already on, please submit application no later than 3:30 p.m.

For new service, click on the Residential Application link below and fill out the  form. Then, under ‘Services needed' select if you have a trash can and/or recycle bin or if you need one.  Upload a copy of your lease agreement, settlement statement and/or closure disclosure with a valid photo i.d. A deposit is required for all new service customers. Failure to pay your deposit will result in your services being disconnected. 

Once application has been submitted, we will respond to your submission via email or by phone within 72 hours. Thank you!

  

To Stop Services:

Click on the Account Finalization link below and fill out the online application. Please upload a copy of a valid photo i.d. Disconnection request received after 3:30 p.m. will be done the following business day. Please note, accounts cannot be closed out on the weekend and/or holiday.  
 
Please note: Failure to close out your account will result in you being liable for any water use, even if you are no longer living at or using the property. Also, disconnection cannot be backdated.

Deposit prices are as follows: 

Property Management Companies pay a deposit of $200.00

Based on previous consumption

Restaurants / Car Washes Laundry Services / Gas Stations 
Convenience Stores / Drug Stores, Etc. 

Based on previous consumption
Hotels / Motels / Apartment Complexes

Based on previous consumption
Multi-Unit Properties 
Example: Shopping Centers 

When making your deposit, a cashier's check, money order, or cash is the ONLY acceptable method of payment for your deposit. Cards are not an acceptable form of payment for deposit.
